Growth is a loop, not a channel
Every Shopify store grows the same way. People have to find you. Enough of them have to buy once they arrive. And enough of those have to come back without being paid for a second time. Spend on one part while another part leaks and you pay twice: once for the visitor, and again when they leave.
Most agencies sell one channel and call it growth. An SEO firm here, a Klaviyo freelancer there, an ads agency reporting its own numbers. Nobody is looking at the loop as a whole, and nobody can change the store when the loop shows where the problem is.
- Traffic: search rankings that compound, and paid ads switched on only when the store is ready for them
- Conversion: product pages, baskets and checkouts that turn visits into orders
- Retention: email and SMS flows that bring customers back for a second and third order at almost no cost
The four services
Each has its own page, because each is a discipline in its own right. Most retailers start with one and add the others as the numbers show what is next.
Why the team that builds the store should run the marketing
Marketing for a Shopify store is not separate from the store. An SEO audit finds a slow theme and duplicate collection pages: someone has to change the theme. A Klaviyo flow needs the right product data and a sign-up form that does not wreck the mobile layout: that is theme work too. A Google Shopping campaign stalls because the product feed has poor titles and missing barcodes: that is catalogue work. Paid ads land on a product page that loses people at the variant picker: that is storefront work.
When the marketing and the build sit with different suppliers, every one of those fixes becomes a ticket, a wait and an argument about whose fault it is. When they sit with us, it is an afternoon of work, done properly, by people who already know the theme.
The people you meet are the people who do the work. No account managers, no handoffs. We are a registered Shopify Partner with more than ten years on the platform, based in Nottinghamshire, and we would rather be judged on your revenue than on a dashboard.
Numbers you can trust, before anything else
Before we touch a channel we make sure the measurement is real. Shopify's own reports, Google Analytics 4, Klaviyo and the ad platforms all count differently, and the ad platforms in particular will claim credit for sales that would have happened anyway. We set up tracking properly, including the consent and server-side pieces that have mattered since phones started blocking trackers, and we report on what Shopify says you banked rather than what a dashboard says it influenced.
What we will not do
- Sell you paid ads when your store converts poorly. Ads amplify what is already there, including the problems.
- Report vanity metrics. Rankings, opens and impressions are useful signals. Revenue and margin are the score.
- Hold your accounts hostage. Google, Meta, Klaviyo and Search Console are set up in your name, so you keep everything whatever happens.
- Chase every new channel. Marketplaces and social shops have their place, and we will tell you when you have earned the right to add them.
How it starts
1. Growth audit
We go through your traffic, conversion and retention numbers, your store, your Klaviyo account and your ad accounts if you have them. You get a written report: what is working, what is leaking and what to do first.
2. A plan with priorities
Not a list of everything that could be done. A short list of what will move the number this quarter, with the effort for each, so you can see the trade-offs and say no to things.
3. Doing the work
Our specialists build the flows, fix the technical SEO, run the tests and manage the campaigns. Where the store itself needs changing, we change it. Every piece of work has a fixed quote before it starts.
4. Reporting in plain English
A monthly report you can read in five minutes: what we did, what it did and what is next. Hours tracked and visible, so you always know where the time went.
Who this is for
UK retailers on Shopify who have a store that works and want it to grow, without handing it to an enterprise agency or juggling four freelancers. If you sell considered purchases, where people research before they buy and come back for more, the loop matters even more, and that is the kind of store we like most.
If you are still building, start with the storefront. If the store is live and you are not sure which part of the loop is leaking, the growth audit is the place to begin. See our pricing page for how it is priced.
Questions we get asked
Do we have to take all four services?
No. Most retailers start with the one the audit points at and add others as the numbers show what is next. A store with good traffic and a weak second-order rate needs email before it needs ads. A store with a great product page and no visitors needs SEO or ads before it needs CRO. We will tell you which, and we will tell you if the honest answer is none of them yet.
Can you work alongside our existing agency or freelancer?
Yes. If you have someone you trust running one channel, we will work to their plan or they can work to ours, as long as one person owns the overall number. What does not work is four suppliers each reporting their own success while the store stands still.
How do you charge for ongoing marketing?
Every piece of work has a fixed quote before it starts, and ongoing work is tracked by the hour and reported so you can see where the time went. Our pricing page explains how retained work is priced, and you will always know what you are paying for before you pay for it.
We are not on Shopify yet. Can you still help?
Our marketing work is built around Shopify data, so it works best once you are on the platform. If you are planning to move, it is often worth doing the migration first and setting the marketing up on the new store rather than paying for it twice. See our migrations pages for how that works.
How quickly will we see results?
It depends on the channel. Email flows produce revenue within weeks of going live. Paid ads show within days, provided the store converts. CRO depends on how much traffic you have to measure with. SEO takes months and compounds after that. We will give you an honest timeline for your store before you commit to anything.
